First Quarter 2022 Executive Director Message

With the first three months of 2022 now in the rearview mirror, this is a perfect time for us to reflect and celebrate what we have accomplished so far this year. First off, I want to personally express my abundant gratitude, as always, for every single member of the VAVV family from donors to sponsors to volunteers without which we would not thrive as we have let alone even exist. Personally, as a Catholic I always find this season to be especially renewing because we are in the last couple of weeks of the sacrificial penance of the Lenten season and the excitement of the joyous Easter season is just around the corner. In my experience this transitional season in which we find ourselves often brings with it both simultaneously wire-to-wire busyness and abundant growth both personally and organizationally, but that makes sense because as they say it takes hard work to bring lasting change.

Speaking of change, there has been much of it for Vera Aqua Vera, Vita or should I say, re-establishment? By this I mean, finally, after nearly two years of living in a largely virtual world because of the COVID Pandemic, we are now starting to return to our normal in-person activities, events, and gatherings….

Jacob Niemeier

Jacob Niemeier grew up in North America's heartland and from a very young age his Catholic Christian faith has been very important to him.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Science in Agriculture & Biological Engineering from Purdue University and continues to this day to uphold his Engineering license.

Jacob has a great passion for problem solving and adventure whether it is with water, the environment, travel, or people. While at Purdue, Jacob, also, recognized the needs and suffering of people in developing countries when he took mission trips to both Haiti and Africa which he credits as his inspiration for starting Vera Aqua Vera Vita.
