An Evening to Remember at the Speakeasy

This May, Vera Aqua Vera Vita presents to its supporters for the 4th year in a row the Annual Speakeasy Fundraiser, May 14, benefiting the Mission of Vera Aqua Vera Vita and giving True Water True Life! You’ll never forget the feelings, friends, and fun you’ll have in a night full of drinks, dancing, music, magic, auction, talent, and so much more, all to benefit the mission to bring True Water True Life to the people of Piura, Peru.
With much excitement this is the 4th Annual Speakeasy Fundraiser Event and it will be back in-person after going virtual last year. Don’t get us wrong - the virtual experience last year will always live on in our hearts, but we’re so excited to host you all again on more than a Zoom call! This year’s event will be at St. Mark’s Parish in Plano, TX with the hopes that we’ll even entice some parishioners of such a highly involved community to join our Speakeasy gathering.

And what could be more enticing? Hopefully, some of you remember from our last in person Speakeasy in 2019, that it’s a night packed full of costumes and decorations, camaraderie and support, as we all come together to celebrate and support bringing practical, sustainable solutions of clean water to a global issue.

We’ll kick off the night with a Cocktail Hour starting at 5:30 to give people a chance to enjoy the melodious tunes of Emmeline Miles, get their first drink down, catch up with friends, and meet the new faces! Then everyone will take a seat for dinner while we put on the Main Program from 6:30-8:30, letting you know about all our adaptive, sustainable projects in Piura, Peru, as well as testimonials and a keynote about the power VAVV’s work has to transform lives in the world! Last of all, we’ll top off the evening off with Live Jazz Music from the Dave Washburn Band and Swing Dancing until 10pm (drinks available ‘til the very last)!

This fundraiser is absolutely crucial to the two active projects we have in Piura, Peru: the construction of two new clean water systems for the communities of Cerro de Leones and Las Mercedes KM11. With our 2022 Missionaries currently on the ground in Peru, set to break ground on construction today, Monday, March 14th, we hope to give these communities two new, fully operational clean water systems later this year! Currently the people of these communities get their drinking water from canals and rivers in which animals and people bathe and defecate. These organic and inorganic contaminants can cause chronic and even fatal diseases to these underserved men, women, and children.

From left to right, top to bottom: (1) Ricardo Arbulu Guerra meeting with the community, Cerro de Leones, (2) Children in Cerro de Leones showing thanks and appreciation for VAVV’s promise to serve them and (3) R&C Consultants testing the structural integrity of the ground intended to support the clean water facility.

The funding we receive from this Speakeasy Fundraiser will be absolutely crucial to our ability to see these two massive projects through to fruition. Capital funding is such a crucial part of the process, but words cannot begin to describe the immense impact these funds will have on the health and progress of these communities!

By just showing up, you’re already supporting the men, women and children in receiving the basic human right and necessity of True Water and True Life. For a limited time only buy your Early Bird Ticket for only $50 or couple’s for $100 - but don’t wait because Early Bird sales end April 14th! You can also buy an entire table and take your family and friends for this night to remember! Or if you’re able, raise your support by sponsoring the event and receiving perks on different sponsorship levels! Whatever you do, make sure you make it to an evening to remember at the Speakeasy, May 14, 2022 at St. Mark’s Parish in Plano.
