The Planning and Engineering team is making great strides to get Las Mercedes KM11’s full project construction underway! We’re also implementing an impact survey to get real data on the impact of 3 years of clean water for the community of Monte Castillo!

This past March was a very special month for Vera Aqua Vera Vita; for the first time since 2019, VAVV got to send a team of missionaries from DFW into the rural communities of Piura, Peru to bring True Water True Life through service, education and camaraderie! You wake up one morning to a long day of work ahead of you, and prepare yourself to get ready for the day. You get up and try to brush your teeth, but low and behold, no water comes from your faucet. Your stove won’t light for your morning eggs; you can’t pour water into the pot for coffee; can’t even flush that foul stench down your toilet. Imagine a Day Without Water.

VAVV is excited to share the 2020 Annual Report, including a 2020 Year-in-Review and a detailed vision for 2021! Through an unprecedented year, VAVV did as much as possible to continue to meet the need for water, only worsened by the pandemic. Looking into 2021, VAVV hopes to continue Phase II (Sanitary Sewer System) developments in Monte Castillo and finish Phase I (Clean Water Supply/Access) developments for 2-3 new, rural communities.

At the core of Vera Aqua Vera Vita’s project implementation is W.A.S.H. oriented solutions that look to holistically improve the lives of those it touches by securing clean Water and Sanitation Hygiene (W.A.S.H.). As a grassroots nonprofit, it is vital that Vera Aqua Vera Vita not only strive towards W.A.S.H. solutions but provides the community with the knowledge and tools necessary for its future implementation as well.

Since March of 2020, the VAVV team has been collaborating to create material for a W.A.S.H Education Program and is now proud to announce the completion of a W.A.S.H. Workshop!
